| 2007 BLACKTOWN BUSINESS EXPO
TUESDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2007 BOWMAN HALL BLACKTOWN CBD - 12 TO 7pm
Expo Edge was pleased to present the inaugural 2007 Blacktown Business Expo at Bowman Hall, Campbell Street Blacktown. Over 40 exhibitors were on display showcasing their goods and services to the local business community. In total we had 456 people attend the event on the day comprising 336 visitors and 120 exhibitor staff. This number was lower than was initially expected, however initial feedback from many of the exhibitors after the event was very positive regarding the quality of the people they had met and the lead generation it has created. As a destination expo, and the first of its kind in the Blacktown area, this was extremely positive and provides a excellent basis to build on. With the continued support of Blacktown City Council, local businesses and networking groups this is sure to become a great annual event. |

We would like to especially thank our major sponsors, Breed, NAB and Lander Toyota for their support to make the event, and the networking function and cocktail party that wrapped-up the expo, free for Visitors to attend. We would further like to thank Blacktown City Council for their support and assistance both leading up to the expo and on the day. Councillor Leo Kelly, Mayor of Blacktown City Council, opened the cocktail function and thanked exhibitors for being part of the local business community. He had visited the expo during the day and complemented the quality of the displays that had been put together by the exhibitors which added to the atmosphere of the day. From Council's viewpoint the expo had been a great success and they looked forward to making the 2008 event bigger and better. Representatives from each of the sponsors then made presentations similarly congratulating everyone involved for helping to grow and promote the local business community. This expo would not have been possible without the assistance of the many local business groups that helped bring this great event together - Basi, Blacktown Business Network, Nirimba Business Centre and Networkbiz Group. Representatives from each of these groups formed the committee that worked for over six months to bring this event to the business community of Blacktown. The group is extremely pleased with the initial results of the expo and aims to commence planning for the 2008 expo in the next few months. We are also extremely grateful to our Support Partners - Acute Printing, Blacktown Advocate, GWP Business Resource & Lifestyle Magazine, Kreative Business Builders, X Designs and Western Sydney Institute of TAFE - for their support to make this event a truely local expo showcasing everything that is great about the Blacktown Business Community. Once we have analysed our exhibitor and visitor feedback we will update this site with statistics and photos from the event. If you missed out this year and want to be part of the 2008 Expo, or any of our other events, please contact us and we will add you to our mailing list. | |
