2007 RYDE BUSINESS EXPO WEDNESDAY 15 AUGUST 2007 THE ATRIUM, MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY - 12 TO 7pm  Expo Edge, in conjunction with the Ryde Business Forum, were pleased to present the inaugural Ryde Business Expo at The Atrium in the SAM building at Macquarie University . There were 33 exhibitors from a variety of business categories on display showcasing their goods and services to the local business community. A total of 280 people visited the expo during the day with almost a hundred of these remaining for the free cocktail and networking function that followed.  Alhough numbers were lower than expected, there was positive feedback from many exhibitors that the quality of the people in attendance was excellent and many strong leads were obtained. We would like to especially thank our major sponsor Venues at Macquarie for their support to make the event, and the After-5 cocktail party and networking function following the expo, free for Visitors to attend.
This expo would not have been possible without the assistance of Ryde City Council and our other fantastic Support Partners - GWP Magazine, Northern District Times, Kreative Business Builders, MBE and X Designs.  Their support helps to make this event a truely local expo showcasing everything that is great about Ryde Businesses. All our exhibitors made an extra effort to ensure thier stands were presented attractively and their positive interaction with each other and the visitors made the day enjoyable for all.  We would especially like to thank The Inflatable Event Company who provided us a small army of event men (from the recent Tooheys TV advert) to promote the expo and guide people from the carpark to the venue.  It really added a touch of fun and colour to the day.  Also a special mention to Crunch Catering, part of the Venues at Macquarie group, who provided the excellent catering to the exhibitors during the day as well as the cocktail party afterwards.
